Description TEMPORARY GROUNDS WORKER (CASUAL SEASONAL) (Class Code: 9129) Note: *Seasonal non-benefited employees are limited to working no more than six (6) consecutive months and no more than 900 hours in a fiscal year (July 1-June 30) . The City of Sunnyvale is seeking self-motivated, energetic, responsible individuals interested in temporary employment to assist in the maintenance of public parks and open space for up to 40 hours a week, between the months of April thru October. Essential Job Functions (May include, but are not limited to, the following): General cleaning of parks, including litter pick-up and emptying of garbage cans. Custodial care of parks buildings and restrooms. Operation of various power equipment including mowers, blowers and line-trimmers. Provide customer service for park users. Abate vandalism and hazard.
