Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate: 1. Broad and extensive experience with enforcement of state and federal environmental laws affecting California’s natural resources, communities, and public health. 2. Practical and working knowledge of civil litigation in both state and federal courts. 3. Experience conducting civil investigations into various legal matters related to environmental impact and hazardous waste. 4. Experience advising executive management on legal and litigation policies relating to environmental matters. 5. Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising a larger group of attorneys and other professional staff. Examination Information The exam will consist of a Statement of Qualifications screening process. A departmental evaluation panel will review and score the Statements of Qualifications based on the Desirable Qualifications for the position, and the competitive nature of each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
