Position Description Those hired divide their time between formal schooling where they are successfully completing the coursework requirements to earn an auto technician designation from an approved partner program (maintain a 2.5 Grade Point Average), and closely supervised work performance in the Public Works' vehicle maintenance facilities as a way to develop well-rounded skills necessary to become an Automotive Mechanic with the City of Minneapolis ***The individual hired into this position will be required to sign a contract that states they will complete their schooling and then work for the City for three (3) years after finishing school. The City will cover the cost of schooling.
