They may also be involved in conducting fieldwork - be able to drive to, and operate small boats in, the study site. Responsible for making water quality measurements while research vessel is underway and for collecting water samples for lab analyses. In the research laboratory, make analyses of concentrations of ammonium and chlorophyll and help with running a nutrient AutoAnalyzer and a mass spectrometer. Be able to carry out phytoplankton incubations to measure primary productivity with stable isotopic tracers. Immediately supervised by a Research Technician 3 or PI. In addition will carry out general lab duties including cruise preparation, compile data and contribute to generation of lab reports by inputting data to computer and making synthesis plots. Position Information Water quality shore-station and laboratory analyses Maintain and calibrate a realtime SUNA nitrate sensor and nutrient analyzer installed at a water quality shore station. The station will be monitored daily. Troubleshoot any problems and tell PI. The deployment and data collection by these shore-station continuous measurement instruments is a core part of the research award paying this position. Make up reagents and nutrient standards for the shore station instruments and calibrate the system by collecting discrete water samples and analyzing in the lab. Ensure real-time data is being collected and stored using the communication software and work with electronics troubleshooting to display and archive data. Collect field samples for nutrient and chlorophyll analyses. In lab prepare and analyze samples for analysis of chlrophyll and nutrients -fuorometer or spectrophotomter or Autoanalyzer. Data and Reporting Analyst Lead CalOptima CalOptima Health is seeking a highly motivated an experienced Data and Reporting Analyst - Lead to join our team. The Data and Reporting Analyst - Lead (HEDIS) will be responsible for developing and maintaining Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) data reports to support the regulatory requirements from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS). The incumbent will be responsible for continually improving data acquisition, enhancing data processing, assurance on data reporting and providing data analysis. The incumbent will provide expertise in business requirements and train other Analysts for the HEDIS data system in the Quality Analytics department. Position Information: Department: Quality Analytics Salary Grade: M - $85,000 - $141,089 Work Arrangement: Full Telework **This position is eligible for telework in California.** Duties & Responsibilities: 80% - Data and Reporting Support Maps multiple internal data sources (e.g., claims, encounters, pharmacy, providers, enrollment, lab, etc.) and external data sources (registry, electronic medical record (EMR), etc.) for HEDIS reporting. Ensures data integrity from the data warehouse and HEDIS software. Researches data integrity issues and provides solutions. Data and Reporting Analyst Lead CalOptima CalOptima Health is seeking a highly motivated an experienced Data and Reporting Analyst - Lead to join our team. The Data and Reporting Analyst - Lead (HEDIS) will be responsible for developing and maintaining Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) data reports to support the regulatory requirements from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS). The incumbent will be responsible for continually improving data acquisition, enhancing data processing, assurance on data reporting and providing data analysis. The incumbent will provide expertise in business requirements and train other Analysts for the HEDIS data system in the Quality Analytics department. Position Information: Department: Quality Analytics Salary Grade: M - $85,000 - $141,089 Work Arrangement: Full Telework **This position is eligible for telework in California.** Duties & Responsibilities: 80% - Data and Reporting Support Maps multiple internal data sources (e.g., claims, encounters, pharmacy, providers, enrollment, lab, etc.) and external data sources (registry, electronic medical record (EMR), etc.) for HEDIS reporting. Ensures data integrity from the data warehouse and HEDIS software. Researches data integrity issues and provides solutions. Provides expertise in HEDIS data analysis, including member, provider, claims and encounters. Writes detailed Scope of Design documents for HEDIS data processing and auditing. Maintains a thorough knowledge of CalOptima Health's data, provides feedback to Information Technology Services (ITS) to resolve data integrity issues and to support reporting requirements. Prepares ad-hoc analyses and works on special projects. Reviews proposed HEDIS measure requirements and implements changes for plan level or program-specific reporting as requested. Provides technical support for HEDIS hybrid sampling, medical records retrieval and reviewing. 15% - Program Support Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability. Provides guidance and training on HEDIS repository to the other Data Analysts within the department. Acts as the point of contact for data requests, assigns requests to other Data Analysts as appropriate and monitors timeliness and outcomes. Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department. 5% - Completes other projects and duties as assigned. PROGRAM OVERVIEW Acute Communicable Disease Unit Alameda County Public Health Nurses, in the Acute Communicable Disease Unit, are responsible for the surveillance, investigation, and control of cases, contacts, and outbreaks of over 75 reportable communicable diseases; all reportable communicable diseases except for HIV, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis. Program activities include interviewing clients with reportable diseases, as well as their family members and health care providers, to collect clinical and risk factor information and to identify potentially exposed contacts. California Children's Services (CCS) California Children’s Services (CCS) is a statewide program that provides case management and care coordination for clients' birth to 21 who have chronic, disabling and/or life threatening conditions. There are medical, financial and residential eligibility requirements. Under the direction of the CCS Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse IV (RN IV), the Registered Nurse II (RN II) performs medical utilization review and comprehensive case management for a case load of children who have CCS medically eligible conditions. The RN II works in multi-disciplinary teams to determine medical eligibility and provides medical care coordination from the point of intake and initiation of the treatment care plan as part of the CCS interdisciplinary case management team. Nurses also ensure that clients are receiving necessary services with the most appropriate provider. Experience: Eight years of increasingly responsible technical work experience in network service operations as a network technician and/or information systems analyst.
