This is a temporary/seasonal position with OA/FMDC will participate in the maintenance and care of the grounds around the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington, working Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Must be available for occasional evening or weekend work and perform other duties as assigned. Mowing Trimming/pruning Watering Deadheading Digging Harvesting Staking Weeding Mulching Tree trimming/removal Caring for various plants/trees/shrubs, flowers and turf. Cleaning sidewalks Emptying trash cans Picking up trash and debris Assist in cleaning of parking lots and patching asphalt Assisting full time staff in building and equipment maintenance and repair of irrigation breaks when needed. Minimum Qualifications Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions. Ability to pick up/carry 50 lbs. Ability to operate gas and hand powered lawn maintenance tools and equipment. General knowledge of lawn care and grounds keeping. Must be at least 16 years of age or older Must have, and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license. Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position. Assist Forensic Case Monitors by setting up meetings as necessary, electronic and paper fillings, coordination and tracking of clients, progress notes, review of documentation, complete monthly reports for clients, monthly expense reports for the monitors, submitting travel requests for clients, answering, transferring, and taking messages for Forensic Case Monitors office phones, as well as completing any additional needs for the forensic case monitors. Attend forensic case monitor meetings as necessary and quarterly support staff meetings. Work with Office of General Counsel to ensure documentation is obtained and provided. Obtain REJIS training and certification, as well as maintain it. Report to Director of Forensic Services, and participate in monthly supervision with the Director of Forensic Services. Support Care Assistant The Adult Psychiatric Services (APS) unit at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is looking for energetic, caring, enthusiastic individuals to join the team providing specialized services to intellectually disabled forensic clients as Support Care Assistants. This is a f irst-level direct care position accountable for assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks. Assists in checking vital signs, height, and weight as assigned; collects and maintains records of fluid intake and output; and reports on the condition of clients. May perform internal environment of care checks or perform some security-related functions in a mental health care setting.
