As a Mental Health Clinician with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Managed Care at the Formby/Wheeler Correctional Units, you'll play a vital role in supporting a population with complex needs-providing care that promotes stability, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a difference in the field of mental health. In this role, you will provide psychological evaluations, diagnostic services, and counseling to an assigned patient caseload. While working under the guidance of a senior clinician, you'll have the chance to take full responsibility for your clinical actions and decisions.     Major/Essential Functions
      ◦ Detection of severe mental illness in all Outpatient interactions.
      ◦ Offender Risk Management
      ◦ General Outpatient management of severely mental ill and at risk offenders.
      ◦ Processes referrals to medical and mental health providers.
      ◦ Processes referrals to Crisis Management.
      ◦ Correct and thorough completion of all types of clinical interviews.
      ◦ Reports Inmate Protection Investigation (IPI) and offender threats to others to security as instructed by Safe Prisons Plan.
      ◦ Processes releases from Mental Health Observations (MHO)/Constant Direct Observation (CDO).
      ◦ Assessments written based upon balanced clinical judgment.
      ◦ Effectively prioritizing job duties while maintaining risk management as a priority.


    Required Qualifications
    Master's degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university
