Higginsville Habilitation Center (HHC) is a state-operated program within the Department of Mental Health. We support 40+ individuals with developmental disabilities, receiving 24/7 services in a group home setting. We are recruiting for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to be part of our Nursing team.
The ADON is a highly functional member of a multidisciplinary team that works to help devise plans that best support individuals supported by HHC.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The ADON position is a managerial nurse position that is accountable for directing nursing services, which includes oversight/review of work and documentation of the nursing department, including RNs, LPNs, and administrative staff. The right person should have knowledge of management principles and techniques as applied to nursing administration. The ADON will have the ability to maintain clinical and administrative records, prepare related reports, and communicate relevant medical information regarding the individuals supported at HHC to internal and external stakeholders. Must be detail-oriented, work well with others, have good time management skills, possess leadership skills, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri,
- 3+ years of experience as a registered nurse,
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. SCHEDULE : Scheduled to work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with Saturday and Sunday as days off. This position will require some on-call responsibilities and a flexible schedule to meet coverage and facility needs.
