• This is an entry level licensed professional position accountable for coordinating and managing the assessment and treatment of mental illnesses.
• May function as a Certified Forensic Examiner. Provides thorough behavioral health services including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Develops and implements individual treatment plans that specify type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
• Treats and counsels’ clients and use a variety of treatment methods to intervene and assist in behavior modification. Writes reports on clients and evaluates the effectiveness of counseling or other treatments and modifies plans and diagnoses as necessary.
• May conduct court-ordered evaluations and provide testimony in court proceedings.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrive to work on time, returns from lunch on time and minimizes unscheduled absences.
Minimum Qualifications: ● No disciplinary action in the previous 12 months.
● In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of individual differences, such as personality theory, human development, and abnormal psychology.
● Knowledge of departmental protocols and legal requirements in assessing and treating forensic patients.
● Ability to conduct individual and group interventions.
Preferred Qualifications: - Licensure and 3-5 years of experience as a Psychologist. May also possess a post-doctoral specialty such as: neuropsychology, forensic psychology, or geriatric psychology.
