    Assistant School Services Director of Program Services - Department of Elementary & Secondary Education - Missouri School for the Severely Disabled

    Salary: $55,680

    Please note: The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

    Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    What you’ll do:

    • Knowledge and experience with students eligible for special education.
    • Coordinate activities to determine student eligibility for placement with MSSD through facilitation and collaboration with Building Leadership.
    • Oversee and manage student and staff data for MSSD, utilizing the student information system platform.
    • Coordinate collection, reporting, and submission of data for Core Data/MOSIS in a timely manner.
    • Remain current on MAP-A requirements, alternative assessment best practices, problem-solving mitigations, and platform functioning/capabilities, and ensure MSSD staff are registered, trained, assisted, and supported.
    • Provide outreach support and information to Local Education Agencies in regard to Federal and State requirements for Special Education and programming for students with low incidence disabilities and/or significant cognitive disabilities.
    • Serve as the truancy officer for students served by MSSD.


    All you need for success:

    • A minimum of five years of work experience with students in special education, with preference given to candidates who have a background in working with individuals with significant disabilities.


    OR

    • A minimum of five years of work experience with data entry, reporting, and communication.


    OR

    • Bachelor’s degree, in special education or a closely related field.
