Specifically, the Division of Personnel (DOP) is looking for a senior human resources professional to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team! You will work with a group of creative, talented professionals as we advance modern recruitment practices for OA and the entire state of Missouri! We work hard and with a sense of urgency - we do the important work of helping attract new talent to public service! What you’ll do: - Full coordination and execution of Statewide Hiring Events - you will run the show and help bring people along with you. Events will be hosted around the state in various locations in support of all state agencies recruitment needs.
- Work directly with venues, marketing professionals, internal communication teams, state departments and other stakeholders to host large-scale events. This will include complete project management from the big details, small details, team management, financials etc.
- Plan, organize and host full Career Expos. Events may be for the external job seeker to support their individual skill development and career preparation. Also, this position will help to support the internal recruitment community by hosting professional learning opportunities and ongoing collaboration.
- Plan, organize and host virtual career events, serving as the technology subject matter expert, including managing event setup and data collection in Qualtrics and utilizing or developing dashboards and reports to track engagement and outcomes. Events may vary by focus area, state department, or statewide audience.
- Coordinate with state agencies on their events for support, promotion and reporting.
- Work with other recruiters to host events that may be specific to outreach in areas of Missouri as a Model Employer, Veteran’s Hiring efforts and other new avenues of outreach.
- Marketing! All events will include an element of marketing and telling the story of what we have accomplished. This position will work collaboratively with other state teams to support all aspects
- Manage social media activities, event budgets, and contract maintenance related to program and event delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; intricate attention to detail with strong organization.
- Adaptive to challenges, thinking quick and finding fast solutions.
- Enjoys collaborating with and helping others - it takes a village to host successful events.
- Familiarity with problem-solving and process improvement techniques (process mapping, 5 Whys, etc.) We use project plans (Gantt charts) to keep us on track and report out regularly.
- Applies creativity and innovation to event planning, communication strategies, and continues improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or similar field, or three to five years of professional experience in talent acquisition or human resources. Additional education and/or experience may substitute for these qualifications.
