    The Department of Social Services FSD is seeking a Benefit Program Specialist(Case Analyst) with the Continuous Case Improvement Team. This position will be dependent upon application selected.

    All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

    The responsibilities is t o thoroughly review and analyze case actions and phone calls to ensure accuracy, compliance and completeness of actions taken by Benefit Program Technicians. Those holding this position will collaborate with colleagues to communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing. This act ensures accuracy, quality and adherence to scripts and or procedures to promote the best possible outcomes for our clients.

    Duties to include but not limited to:

    • Action integrity: Reviewing case files, documents, and supporting evidence to ensure compliance with guidelines/policy/procedures/scripts and SOPs when case actions are taken.
    • Data Integrity: Reviewing MACSS, Current, case files, documents, and supporting evidence to ensure compliance with guidelines/policy/procedures/scripts and SOPs for data integrity.
    • Quality assurance: Listening to recorded phone calls to evaluate quality, accuracy, and adherence to scripts or procedures.
    • Reporting and analysis: Summarizing findings, writing detailed reports, and providing assessments based on established criteria.
    • Collaboration: Working with other reviewers, supervisors, management and subject matter experts to discuss case review findings.
    • Communication: Transmitting determinations to Field operations staff. Maintaining clear, concise communication both orally and in writing.
    • Review cases and phone calls using policy, procedure, scripts, SOPs and other reference materials as needed. Provide feedback on the actions taken by the BPT.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Two or more years of experience as a Benefit Program Technician with the Missouri Family Support Division.

    OR

    Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience.

    (Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)

    Preferred Experience:

    • Analytical skills: Strong ability to analyze information, identify problems, and project consequences.
    • Attention to detail: Meticulous and organized approach to ensure accuracy in reviews and documentation.
    • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with various parties and write comprehensive reports.
    • Technical proficiency: Ability to use case management software, internal systems, and sometimes mobile apps.
    • Organizational skills: Ability to manage a high volume of reviews, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
    • Discretion and integrity: Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and act professionally, especially in stressful situations.
