This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the East Region Facilities Operations Team. - Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
- Manage front desk reception duties and ensure excellent customer service when answering phones, directing inquiries, receiving visitors and guests, and coordinating deliveries.
- Prioritize and execute a variety of administrative tasks such as sorting mail, maintaining logs and records, coordinating fleet vehicles, booking training and travel arrangements, coordinating requests for maintenance and housekeeping services, and distributing State ID badges.
- Ensure compliance of regional contractors in the Chesterfield State Office Building per approved badge access provisions.
- Work closely with OA-Accounting and OA-FMDC team members to review and ensure accurate preparation and processing of fiscal, purchasing, and related documents for business activities.
- Collaborate and build a positive rapport with team members and other agencies to ensure timely and accurate processing of business activities.
- Establish and maintain various filing and record systems utilizing a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, SharePoint, OneDrive, and others.
- Operate under general supervision; receive and act upon direction, guidance, and feedback on performance for continuous improvement.
- Carry state-issued cell phone with you during work shift and bring work cell phone home with you after your normal shift ends. While off shift, team members shall respond timely to urgent texts, phone calls, voicemails, chat messages, and emails. It is pertinent to note that having your state-issued cell phone on does not mean you are on call after your work shift ends.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

- Six or more months of experience in office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from Missouri or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri.

If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
This position is in an office environment and job duties may include prolonged periods of seated work at a desk, typing, written and verbal communication, problem solving, and the occasional ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. This list is not all inclusive, but a general representation of duties that may be encountered in this position; however, other duties may be assigned contingent upon business needs. Please note, this position is considered a “Category 2” under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning the incumbent will be compensated for overtime (hours actually worked over forty hours in a workweek) at the rate of time and one-half.
