The regular days off for this position are Mondays and Tuesdays. Working hours are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (Team 2) . However, flexibility with working hours will be necessary.

Job Duties: This is semi-skilled direct care work implementing behavioral interventions for persons with developmental disabilities.
- Implementing the individual support plan and behavioral support techniques developed by the behavior resource team for consumers potentially requiring more restrictive environments due to their behaviors and/or medical needs.
- Responding to crisis situations and implement interventions established until behavior is safe.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard behavior modification techniques, including receiving an Advanced Skills certificate of the Safety Care program within 1 year of appointment.
- Ability to work effectively on a team, and to work where needed to fill open spots.
- Ability to lift clients and assist in performing transfers and basic ADL and u se of hands-on skills (dependent care).
- All training must be up-to-date including CORE, CPR, and First Aid.
- All SOP Crisis employees must complete the following trainings within the timeframe indicated below:
- Behavior Support Strategies (within 6 months of employment as a BT)
- Advanced Safety Care and maintain certification annually (within 90 days of employment as a BT)
- Mental Health First Aid (within in 6 months of employment as a BT)
- Online training in Columbia Protocol (within 90 days of employment as a BT)
- Successfully able to demonstrate competency on all Essential Skills (within 1 year of employment)
- Able to drive adaptive bus, with training.
- Must be able to commence performance of the new position duties within five (5) calendar days of acceptance .
Eligibility Requirements: 1 year of relevant experience, valid driver’s license, and high school diploma or equivalency. If you are a current DMH employee: To be eligible to apply for this position, you must not have received a disciplinary action within the past 12 months .
