This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the Chapter 34 Procurement team within the Contract Services Unit. - Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
- Assist in developing regional facilities maintenance service contracts and conduct research for contract administration purposes.
- Facilities maintenance and repair project contract administrations, including bidding phase, bid evaluation, acceptance phase, and contract execution phase.
- Prepare and/or review Scopes of Work (SOWs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Invitations for Bid (IFBs), and administer agreements related to real estate functions.
- Draft deficiency letters, track ongoing custodial issues, and provide documentation to the Procurement Supervisor and Procurement Managers.
- Responsible for updating spreadsheets, databases, and appropriate accounting control systems (MissouriBuys currently but eventually will be MOVERS ERP).
- Proactively integrate continuous improvement practices into OA-FMDC contract administration.
- Carry state-issued cell phone with during work shift and bring work cell phone home after normal shift ends. While off shift, team members shall respond timely to urgent texts, phone calls, voicemails, chat messages, and emails. It is pertinent to note that having your state-issued cell phone on does not mean you are on call after your work shift ends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of procurement processes as they relate to facilities maintenance services, maintenance and repair of facilities, limited procurement of goods, and Missouri statutory requirements relative to RSMo Chapter 8 and RSMo Chapter 34.
- A very good understanding of the legal aspects of procurement for facilities maintenance services and construction contracting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to build strong working relationships with individuals, vendors, stakeholders, and partner agencies.
- Ability to interpret and execute a wide range of feedback, directives, practices, and communication strategies.
- Ability to develop positive, productive working relationships as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Excellent attendance, work ethic, attention to detail, conflict management, and critical thinking skills.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from Missouri or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or related field. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- 1-3 years of procurement experience in facilities maintenance services, facilities management, construction contract administration, or related fields.

If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
This position is in an office environment, and job duties may include prolonged periods of seated work at a desk, typing, written and verbal communication, problem solving, and the occasional ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Please note, this position is considered a “Category 0” under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning the incumbent will not normally receive overtime compensation except in unusual circumstances as determined by appointing authorities.
