The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Primary duties will be to facilitate the fiscal development, implementation, and tracking of federal grants awarded to DHSS/OEC, primarily the Public Health Emergency Preparedness grant (PHEP) and the Hospital Preparedness Program grant (HPP).
- Assist Program Managers with annual grant application preparation and submission to include annual budget; assist Program Managers with preparation of all required reports including on required performance measures and any special reports required by ASPR and CDC.
- Communicate with external partners for policy and budgetary measures to increase public health preparedness outcomes, grant application and reporting platforms as required by the federal grant system.
- Plan and develop meetings with external partners and local health agencies.
- Assist Program Managers with planning and tracking of budgetary activities so that budgets are appropriately spent in a timely manner.
- Track grant deadlines and provide updates to program managers of grant task that are pending
- The position may also assist with similar or aligned work activities relative the daily operation of OEC, including the Rapid Response Team (RRT) grant and the Radiological/Chemical Response Program.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree preferred and at least three years of professional experience in research and analysis, program or policy development, management analysis, grant management or budget/fiscal analysis (Substitutions may me allowed).
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete complex assignments and interpret policies.
- The ability to communicate and plan complex programmatic activities and track progress.
