    Please Note: The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

    This position will be located at 1659 E. Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. This position is not eligible for remote work, and you must be located onsite.

    • Collect air emissions inventory questionnaires (EIQ) from permitted facilities and assist with the EIQ mail-out and data entry as needed.
    • Assist the regulated community through phone, email, or in-person related to the Missouri Emissions Inventory System (MoEIS) use and EIQ completion.
    • Complete Permit Frameworks as assigned, coordinating with the permit engineer and/or facility if issues arise.
    • Perform quality assurance and analysis of data for point source data as assigned.
    • C onduct EIQ desk audits according to procedure and work with permits and facility representatives to make corrections as appropriate.
    • Complete and maintain data analysis and corresponding reports.
    • Review and respond to permit concurrence requests.
    • Attend training and seminars continuously working on professional development, technical knowledge and skills, and identifying process improvements and efficiencies.


    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Quality Assurance : Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance and quality control used to ensure a product fulfills functional requirements and standards.
    • Quality Management : Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance, quality control, and reliability used to ensure that a project, system, or product fulfills requirements and standards.
    • Customer Service : Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
    • Environmental Science : Knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources; and to monitor, control, abate, and prevent pollutants.
    • Planning and Evaluating : Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
    • Research : Knowledge of the scientific principles, methods, and processes used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry; including study design, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; and the reporting of results.
    • Teamwork : Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identify; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • A bachelor’s degree and 0-4 years of relevant environmental experience. (Substitutions may be allowed). Preferred degree program includes Atmospheric Science, Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Math, Natural Resource Management, Physics, or a closely related field.
