This position will be located at Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality,
Environmental Remediation Program (ERP), 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. - Assist the ERP Director’s Office and Natural Resource Damages Section by doing a limited range of general activities in direct support of the team including but not limited to clerical, printing services, mail services, administrative, and other business support activities ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient flow of work.
- Provide support functions such as expenditure control; accounting; maintenance of files and records; requisitioning, storage, issuance, and/or local procurement of supplies and equipment; approval of requisitions for payment of operating expenses; preparing expense reports and booking travel.
- Serve as main contact for the program through administration of the program’s main e-mail account and phone number.
- Assist Program Director through coordination of communications internally and externally, and in representing the agency to the public, special interest groups, the legislature, and the media.
- Secretarial duties for the Hazardous Waste Commission. Act as liaison between commission and the Program Director. Record, transcribe, and distribute meeting summary of each meeting as needed.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

- Planning and Evaluating : Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
