POSITION OVERVIEW Applications accepted from: All Persons interested Job Classification: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE II Posting Number: 37048 Division: COURT OPERATIONS Reporting Location: 1400 Lubbock, and All Satellite Locations Workdays & Hours: Monday - Sunday* All Shifts, days, and holiday* DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Municipal Courts currently has an employment opportunity available for a Customer Service Representative II for individuals who are self-motivated, customer service-oriented, have attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills. As an official of the Court, your responsibilities may include the following:
- Function in a lead capacity or serve as a shift leader supervising clerks in assigned areas.
- Provide a professional level of customer service by utilizing efficient problem-solving techniques to address customer concerns and inquiries.
- High level of direct contact with the public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement.
- Courtroom support of assigned Judge. Duties may include review and process of daily dockets, entry of judicial decisions / court actions into Court’s case management system.
- Perform general clerical functions using a variety of software applications to generate reports.
- Data entry of incoming citations including coding and researching records.
- Processing of bond forfeitures and administrative duties related to bond administration.
- Interface with law enforcement officials for the verification of warrants and notifications.
- Periodic rotation to alternate Court locations and / or sections
- Must be willing to submit to annual background checks.
- May include weekends and holidays
- Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be willing to submit to annual backgrounds check.
***Please know that this position is designated as a Tier 1 employee and the selected candidate may have to work during inclement weather conditions*** WORKING CONDITIONS General office setting. May require long periods of standing or sitting. Must be able to work any day, shift, weekends and/or holidays as needed. Must be able to travel to another court location on short notice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Requires a High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One or more years of related experience is required
Associate degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS None.
PREFERENCESPreferences shall be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish and have:
- Clerk Certified by the TMCEC / TCCA
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Familiar with CSMART
- Documented heavy data experience.
- Heavy customer service experience as well as knowledge of court policies and procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of CSMART and its functionalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- One (1) or more years of court clerk experience
