Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
Why you’ll love this position: This position will support the work of the Coordinator for Leadership Development, the Coordinator for Teacher Development, and the Director of Educator Development. Primary responsibilities in this position will be to assist in the efficient administration and monitoring of the programs and activities carried out by this office in order to fulfill the state’s responsibilities under Title II.
- Work to maintain files, and run reports of data base files for the Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS), Missouri Teacher Development System (MTDS), Teacher of the Year (TOY), and related events and activities (i.e. Leadership Academy, Teacher Academy, Beginning Teacher Assistance Program, Teacher Academy Graduates, etc.).
- Prepare invoices for MLDS and MTDS related events and activities as needed.
- Process monthly expense reports, for MLDS and MTDS affiliated staff, vendors, and related personnel, in a prompt and timely manner.
- Maintain all expense accounts for section. (MLDS, MTDS)
- Maintain records of invoices, professional development initiatives, invoices, contracts, and expense accounts across all previously identified programs - in an orderly, easily retrievable fashion.
- Monitor the processing of requisitions, invoices, and expense reports and maintain a reasonable timeline for the prompt payment of bills.
- Communicate, via all appropriate means, with internal personnel and people outside of DESE relative to all to program planning, implementation, and support.
- Prepare and maintain monthly expenditure/funding tracking reports for various program events and activities as requested.
- Set up and organize files; sort, classify and file material; purge obsolete material; and remove and return material requested from files.
- Serve as primary office contact for the MLDS, MTDS, and related events. This includes preparing contracts, invoicing school districts, processing yearly stipends, maintaining participation data, and assisting MLDS specialists, MTDS personnel, RPDC Directors, and other operationally affiliated personnel across all programs with questions, processes, or other information as needed. Utilize Department approved processes/tools for contract approval.
- Provide accounts receivable and payable functional support for the Leadership Academy, MLDS, MTDS, TOY, and related events.
- Serve as back up support for the Executive Assistant when needed.

Minimum Qualifications: - Graduated from high school or High School Equivalency.
- One or more years’ experience in clerical or secretarial work.
