    A Clinical Practice Coordinator - MIH/CCP job is available with the City of Fort Worth Office of the Medical Director. Responsible for developing and advancing the quality of clinical practice through the management, provision and coordination of the Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) & Critical Care (CC) activities of the Office of the Medical Director's ("OMD"); manages processes for initial and maintenance of mobile health paramedic (MHP) and critical care paramedic (CCP) provider credentialing; develops, implements, and evaluates education and training specific to MIH/CC programs; participates in the quality management process specific to MIH/CC programs; develops MIH/CC program protocols; liaisons with community partners engaged in public health. The Clinical Practice Coordinator - MIH will work collaboratively with the OMD and MIH team to ensure that the System goals are achieved in accordance with the mission and vision of OMD and the Fort Worth EMS system.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in emergency medical services management, healthcare administration, or related field.
    • Five (5) years of experience as a paramedic in a busy 911 system OR three (3) years of experience as a critical care paramedic in an EMS system providing critical care transport.
    • Advanced certification in Critical Care (CCP-C, CCEMTP, FP-C).
    • Advanced certification in Community Paramedicine (CP-C) within 18 months of date of hire.
    • Completion of IHI Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety within one year of employment.
    • No exclusion by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) to participate in Federally Funded Health Care Programs.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Must pass drug screen.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Advanced certification in Community Paramedicine (CP-C).
    • Experience in critical care as a Certified Paramedic.
    • Experience in an EMS system providing critical care transport.

    The Clinical Practice Coordinator - MIH/CCP job responsibilities include:
    • Contribute to strategic planning and development of clinical practices and processes related to Mobile Integrated Health.
    • Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of MHP/CCP education and training programs and MHP/CCP credentialing process of the OMD.
    • Utilize clinical judgment in the quality review of patient care delivery by MHP/CCP providers to assure care provided is within the standards of care, medical direction protocols, completeness of clinical information, and accuracy of medical records.
    • Oversee clinical credentialing of MHP and CCP providers within the System.
    • Coordinate clinical quality investigations, collaborating with OMD's Quality Management division, EMS, and partner agencies.
    • Develop clinical metrics and bundles-of-care related to clinical outcomes of MIH programs .
    • Coordinate the onboarding, education, and training and education pertinent to the new hire candidates for the MHP/CCP credential.
    • Evaluate new MHP/CCP hires in all phases of the training process.

Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation.

    Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.

    Medical Program

    The City offers two plan options through Meritain Health, an Aetna company.

    Vacation

    Eligible for 3 weeks of vacation: After successful completion of probationary period (usually

    Holidays

    Available on the first day of employment, the city provides employees with paid holidays, including two personal holidays.

    Wellness Program

    The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward.
