    Location: Office of State Courts Administrator, Jefferson, MO

    The salary reflected represents the base pay for this position and does not include any differential for time-of-service pay for state tenure.

    We are recruiting to fill a Projects Principal Management Analyst II position to perform senior-level professional work in the management of all aspects of projects that may have a major impact on the operations and services of the judiciary. Responsible for leading a project team through the entire project life cycle.

    • Completes project management activities for all phases of a project, which includes project definition, planning, implementation and close-out
    • Develops and maintains detailed project plans including work tasks, required resources, achievable timetables, and risk mitigation strategies
    • Accumulates and summarizes detailed project information into monthly reports; this may include monitoring, tracking and reporting project progress to judicial committees, management, court staff and project staff
    • Provides staff support to court automation project committees and related work groups and makes recommendations to the Grants and Projects Manager
    • Provides supervision of contractor performance and establishes formal acceptance criteria for contractual deliverables when contract services are required on projects


    Minimum qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or court management and 4 years of professional experience managing professional, technical or administrative staff in developing or implementing multiple automated systems or business program projects; and Missouri Project Management certification or its equivalent. The candidate may be hired with a conditional agreement to obtain the Missouri Project Management or equivalent certification within one year of employment.

    Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education

    Preferred qualifications

    • Extensive knowledge of project management theories and methodologies
    • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project
    • Thorough knowledge of the general rules and regulations of the judicial system
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all project stakeholders, including judges, court staff, business staff and IT professionals
    • Ability to facilitate discussions that lead to resolution of project issues
    • Thorough knowledge of the relationship between hardware, software and user interface
