What you will do: - Contact the complainant and the employer to establish the most efficient means to resolve the complaint.
- Request relevant documents necessary to complete a thorough investigation to resolve complaints.
- Coordinate complaint investigations and related enforcement activities with other state and federal agencies.
- Answer questions via phone regarding Prevailing Wage, Child Labor and Minimum Wage law.
- Receive Child Labor Law Complaints and perform compliance checks of employer establishments expeditiously.
All you need for success:Qualifications - Four years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, business administration, or a closely related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in related fields of study.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
Desired Attributes - Knowledge of Prevailing Wage, Child Labor and Minimum Wage law.
- An individual who is well organized, has a keen attention to detail, and possesses interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working in a team environment, can maintain positive working relationships, and conduct duties with courtesy and respect.
- Ability to confidently contact public and private entities to advise them of the requirements and provisions of wage and hour statutes.
- Ability to work independently within the scope of assigned duties.
- Ability to accept and implement feedback with a positive attitude, and is willing to assist team members, accept additional assignments, and maintain a healthy attendance balance.
