California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS)/California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking dedicated professionals, like you, to provide compassionate care to our highly diversified mentally and/or developmentally disabled patient population.
Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary psychiatric inpatient setting, you will:
You must possess a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners (BVNPTE). If you are within four months of completing the Psychiatric Technician curriculum accredited by the BVNPTE you may apply however, you must secure the license before being considered eligible for appointment.
We currently have opportunities at Salinas Valley State Prison’s Psychiatric Inpatient Program, located in Monterey County’s Soledad.
