- Three (3) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic control devices or equivalent of education, experience or trade school.
- Must possess IMSA Work Zone Safety or TEEX course certificate.
- IMSA Level II Field Certification or ability to obtain with 12 months of employment.
- IMSA Roadway Lighting Level I Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record check and post offer physical agility exam.
- Must possess valid State of Texas Class A CDL Drivers License within twelve months of hire date.
The Traffic Signal Technician installs, repairs, troubleshoots, fabricates, and maintains Town traffic signals and flashers in accordance with Town, state, and federal standards; performs routine and corrective maintenance on traffic division equipment; completes work orders and maintenance documentation in compliance with Town policy; and supports safe and efficient traffic operations throughout the Town.
