The Role: The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team, supporting the Authority’s financial and strategic goals by utilizing a strong analytical mindset to transform numbers into actionable insights for key stakeholders and executive leadership.

Capital Asset and Debt Management- Support the capital asset management function by maintaining accurate valuation, capitalization, and depreciation schedules, monitoring capital leases, and tracking fixed asset inventory.
- Manage and ensure compliance for outstanding bonded debt, verifying that all uses and reporting meet covenant and GAAP requirements.
Financial Reporting and Budget Leadership- Prepare complex financial analyses, reports, and supporting schedules, including contributions to the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
- Lead the annual budgeting process across departments, compiling and publishing the Authority's annual budget book.
- Prepare journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and monthly financial statements to ensure the financial accuracy of the Authority.
- Perform complex accounting research and provide implementation recommendations to management.
Treasury and Cash Management- Oversee investment and cash management activities to maintain safety, liquidity, and optimal returns in alignment with policies and regulations.
- Coordinate with financial partners and manage fund flows between accounts and investment pools based on liquidity needs.
- Monitor cash positions and develop short- and long-term cash flow forecasts for organizational decision-making.
Revenue Administration
- Track and reconcile monthly revenue collections, including room taxes, prepare related reports, and administer quarterly distribution payments.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll, vendors, and other partners to support accurate financial operations while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial systems.
What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field with an Accounting concentration preferred. Certification or other accreditation may be considered as a substitute if degree is in a different concentration.
- Demonstrated experience performing related financial analysis and reporting duties.
- Working knowledge of Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards.
- Proficient with office equipment, computers, and Microsoft Suite. • Strong written and oral communication skills, providing the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of modes with vendors, management, and other Ambassadors.
- Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
