Performs skilled chemical spraying work within landscape beds, and along right of ways within the City of Orlando. Responsible for evaluating spraying requirements for insect and disease control, selecting proper herbicides, and applying chemicals following approved techniques to effectively control undesirable vegetation and prevent damage to adjacent vegetation. Performs normal maintenance functions related to the overall preservation of city grounds. Work is performed under the supervision of a crew leader or supervisor. Work is evaluated through observation of the results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years of experience in weed control involving chemical application
required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.
DDB/CRALimited Florida State Public Applicator License
required.

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
