The Quality Assurance Manager directs and guides the Quality Assurance Team in their role by establishing what those quality standards should be. The manager also identifies and prioritizes what quality issues need to be addressed and the measures that need to be tracked. This role is to ensure that MVE’s training program, products and services are delivered to the highest standards. Below is a list of duties and responsibilities currently assigned.
- Developing and Implementing Quality Standards.
- Oversee the auditing/evaluating processes and methods.
- Identifying, prioritizing, and resolving quality issues.
- Ensuring the MVE program, products and services meet all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards and Department of Corrections policies.
- Reporting and communicating relevant quality information for all stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure collaboration with all divisions of MVE to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Directing investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product or service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance MVE programming, product and service quality.
- Oversee the collection of quality data and reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Developing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within MVE.
- Collaborate with Training/Re-entry Coordinator to develop and train MVE staff in best production and quality practices.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: One or more years as a Quality Control Specialist or Quality Control Coordinator, Two or more years as a Functional Unit Manager or other similar experience.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
Candidates should possess knowledge of systems, tools, procedures, statutes, and operational practices associated with incarcerated residents, as well as knowledge of correctional Evidence-Based Practices (EBP). Ability to train, facilitate, implement and lead groups of people in a training environment, including but not limited to: Missouri Corrections Integrated System (MOCIS) risk and need assessment, case planning, cognitive and cognitive behavioral programming, and a working knowledge of the Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS) and case planning tool. The ability to effectively develop and lead special projects and assignments, both individually and in group/committee setting, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within Departmental officials, institutional staff, and public entities.

- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
