Contra Costa Health includes a Health Plan, Public Health, Hazardous Materials, Environmental Health, Housing Homeless and Health, a Regional Medical Center, Behavioral Health, Emergency Management Services, and a full complement of ambulatory care sites including school-based services.
Contra Costa County Health (CCH) has an opening for 1 full-time Assistant Health Services Information Technology Director-Information Security assigned primarily to the CCH Information Technology Unit and is located in Martinez, CA or Concord, CA.

What you will typically be responsible for: - Develop and maintain enterprise-wide security programs.
- Understand and quantify risk of current and proposed technology infrastructure to leadership.
- Work in collaboration with larger County Information Security to leverage various assets to provide effective information security
- Identify, report and control incidents.
- Evaluate and monitor the threat landscape for the CCH IT and take preventative measures.
- Understand Information Security landscape and help guide CCH strategy and make recommendations to CCH CIO.
- Lead auditing and compliance issues for CCH IT.
- Oversee and be accountable to infrastructure that can provide information requested for CCH investigations is provided to requestors and the data provided is secured.
- Manage security staff.

Minimum QualificationsEducation: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, healthcare or business administration, computer science, information security, management information systems, or a closely related field.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of full time, progressively responsible managerial or technical leadership experience in the information technology (IT) field concentrated on information security or risk assessments and management, or network security, including two (2) years providing technical consultation to a healthcare information systems environment in a large, complex, information technology organization, and two (2) years in a supervisory position
Substitution for Experience: Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in healthcare or business administration, computer science, management information systems or a closely related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. No substitution for the required two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Substitution for Education: Possession of a current CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Systems Manager), or GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership Certification) certification may substitute for required education.
