There is a position available in the Colusa County CAO’s Office - Maintenance and Custodial Division. This recruitment will be used to fill a current vacancy and establish an eligibility list to fill other potential openings without reposting. What's this Job All About? This person will be part of a five-person team responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of County buildings. Additionally, the Custodial team is responsible for ensuring all buildings are secured to protect County assets. While this position has a lot of independent work, it is also important that the applicant can work well in a team environment. The team is always willing to help each other out to complete deadlines with quality work. The selected candidate will perform the full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of County buildings and facilities, and perform related duties as assigned.

Supervision & Examples of DutiesReceives general supervision from the Building Maintenance Supervisor and the Lead Custodian.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications Experience and Training Guidelines - Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge would be:
Experience Two years of custodian cleaning and maintenance experience.
Training Completion of formal or informal education at a level that provides the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
License or Certificate Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
Supplemental InformationThe salary range above consists of 15 steps. Steps 1-6 are annual merit steps with approximately 5% difference between each step, based on successful performance. Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps, requiring 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7-14 provide 2.5% increases, while Step 15 offers a 5% increase. The final salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, ranging from steps 1 to 15.
