    The Position

    Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.

    Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.

    The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for an Administrative Services Officer 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Fiscal Incumbent must have the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare, monitor, and oversee the division's grant reporting, federal reporting, and cost allocation submissions. Incumbent is expected to collaborate effectively with individuals with varying knowledge and backgrounds to plan, develop, implement, and monitor the division's grant reporting, federal reporting, and cost allocation submissions. They must be able to develop unit goals, priorities, and deadlines as well as coach team members to assist with skill development and professional growth and understand and interpret complex state laws and federal regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to adjust priorities based on agency and program needs are a must. The incumbent will need to travel throughout Nevada and out of state for training and meetings, therefore they need to maintain a current Nevada Driver's License.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and four years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for major business operations/functions such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology or facilities maintenance and construction; and two years of experience formulating, developing and analyzing program or agency budgets; and fiscal management; one year of which was equivalent to an Administrative Services Officer I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, some positions in this series have been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in these positions must submit to pre-employment screening for controlled substances. A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
