  • Job Description

    Summary

    Maintains highways, municipal and rural roads, rights-of-way and storm water drainage areas in safe condition by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Erects and repairs guardrails, highway markers, and snow fences.
    • Dumps, spreads, and tamps asphalt with pneumatic tamper to patch broken or eroded pavement.
    • Drives truck to transport crew and equipment to work site.
    • Drives snow removal equipment, consisting of truck or tractor equipped with sand spreading equipment.
    • Clears creek, ditches and storm drains of obstructions and brush.


    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    A valid Class B CDL driver’s license is preferred. Must be obtained within 6 months of employment. A clean driving record is required for this position. Driving is a requirement of this position.
