The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of SCADA Systems Engineer in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
The Department of Utility Services provides vital water and wastewater services to our citizens while protecting the environment, health and prosperity of our community.
Under general supervision, performs complex application, administration, development, and support work on the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in support of SCADA controlled operations functions within the Department of Utility Services (DUS), and provides project and program leadership to professional and technical staff; and performs related duties as required.

Salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a field closely related to the work
- Six (6) years of experience in supporting and developing process control applications and systems, designed to support utility services or other similar environments. This experience must have included structured programming and enterprise administration.
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
- Desirable: Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)
- Desirable: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure
- Desirable: Visual Studio certification
- Desirable: C# Specialist examination proficiency in programming
- Desirable: Wonderware certifications in System Platform, Historian, and InTouch

- Sixth year through twelfth calendar years of service - 20.59 hours per month
- Thirteenth calendar year of service and beyond - 23.75 hours per month

BEREAVEMENT LEAVE - Four (4) workdays of leave, with pay, per occurrence
HOLIDAYS - 13 paid holidays per year

WORK WEEK - Four-day, 9.5-hour workday, 38-hour work week
