    Job Summary

    Starting Salary: $32.85 - $41.89

    Performs supervisory work, providing leadership to the Venues Security programs and initiatives. Serves as an assistant to the Venues Security Manager and works with public safety, traffic agencies, transportation agencies, staff, and contractors in planning and implementing the most effective and efficient strategies in support of each event. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and plans to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, clients, and employees; developing the program budget, authorizing expenditures and payroll; and managing personnel assigned to the program, hiring, scheduling, discipline, and training. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Venues Security Manager. Performance is reviewed through discussions, reports submitted, and results obtained.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years responsible security or law enforcement experience, one (1) year of which must have been in hospitality, event services, or public assembly; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
