    The Position

    Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

    Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

    The Nevada Office of Emergency Management is currently recruiting for a Management Analyst 1 in Elko. This position reports directly to the Chief Resilience Officer within the Nevada Office of Emergency Management (NV OEM). The coordinator serves as the primary liaison to rural and tribal emergency managers, building relationships and providing technical support to strengthen local capabilities. The role ensures that rural and frontier perspectives are integrated into NV OEM's planning, preparedness, and resilience initiatives across all program areas. The coordinator also represents NV OEM in coordination with Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) and contributes to community resilience and preparedness projects, including the development and support of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) programs in rural and frontier communities. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to both the Resilience and Preparedness Portfolios, participating in the Duty Officer rotation, and fulfilling related responsibilities. This position requires programmatic experience and a demonstrated ability to enhance emergency management capacity in underserved communities. During major emergencies, the coordinator may be activated to support the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC), with duties and schedules adjusted as needed until demobilization. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
