OverviewWe are hiring a Civil Deputy!
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our small but mighty team! This position plays a key role in processing and researching personal property taxes for businesses in Larimer County, coordinating the process of delinquent tax collections and sales for real property, correcting the tax roll, and coordinating public tax sales.

- Handle complex customer service tasks such as processing redemptions, reconciling payments, and verifying and correcting the tax roll.
- Manage the Mobile Homes process according to Colorado law and office policies.
- Collect delinquent business taxes, including sending notices, setting up payment agreements, and coordinating collections.
- Process applications for Treasurer’s Deeds and work with title companies and other parties to complete them.
- Travel to properties to post notices or seize business property; work with owners, attorneys, landlords, and law enforcement; and represent the
- Treasurer’s Office at auctions and tax collection cases.

- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices like accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle conflict in a calm and professional way.
- Reliable, consistent attendance.
In office Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

- Three (3) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities within an Elected Official's Office required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
