    Job/Department Summary:

    The Digital Experience & Learning Strategist serves as a bridge between IT services and campus stakeholders by advancing digital literacy, improving technology adoption, and enhancing user experience. This role integrates the responsibilities of technology education with strategic user experience (UX) analysis and design. Positioned at the intersection of innovation, user empowerment, and technological transformation, this role enables the Division of IT (DoIT) to remain adaptive, human-centered, and impactful in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This position leads initiatives that support IT workforce upskilling/reskilling, digital literacy for campus audiences, and experience design for IT services. It also ensures that Chico State’s digital technology engagement aligns with institutional goals and the future of work in higher education.

    Required Education and Experience:

    The qualifications listed above would normally be obtained by a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems educational technology, communications or job-related field or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study.

    AND

    Two years of full-time job-related experience.

    OR

    An equivalent combination of job-related experience and education provides the requisite skills and knowledge to independently apply technical judgment to standard application systems.

    Preferences:

    Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
    • Experience using Articulate or another e-learning development software.
    • Familiarity with data-informed decision-making (analytics, surveys, benchmarking).

    Time Base: Full-time

    Pay Plan: 12/12

    Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $87,408 (Step 1) - $127,332 (Step 20) per year.
