    Job/Department Summary:

    This position works independently with general supervision provided by the Administrative Analyst/Specialist I in the Records and Registration area. The Academic Records Specialist will review and process incoming requests related to the student academic record; compose correspondence and other documents; create and maintain files and electronic records; and serve as the primary contact for students, faculty, staff, and outside agencies to resolve issues related to the student record.

    The Office of the Registrar is comprised of Articulation, Degree Audit Programming, Graduation Advising & Transfer Credit, Student Records and Registration, and Veterans Affairs. The office serves as the point of contact for campus staff, faculty, students, and outsides agencies on questions related to the student information system operation and the student academic record. Daily operations ensure the accuracy and integrity of the student academic record and registration processes from matriculation through graduation for all students.

    Required Education and Experience:

    This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.

    Preferences:

    Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
    • Working with student academic records in higher education
    • Using PeopleSoft or similar database applications

    Time Base: Full-time

    Pay Plan: 12/12

    Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $46,368 - $72,864 per year.
