The California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is seeking two detail-oriented and motivated Associate Governmental Program Analysts (AGPAs) to join the Return-to-Work Supplement Program in Oakland. As an AGPA, you will:
Manage assigned caseloads within the Return-to-Work Supplement Program
Develop and implement case management strategies to move cases to resolution and closure
Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare written reports and recommendations
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the public
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to program policies, regulations, and deadlines
Eligibility:

On an AGPA eligibility list (exam link below), or
Eligible for transfer or reinstatement into the AGPA classification
Minimum Qualifications:

Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of data collection techniques, research methods, and policy implementation
Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
Excellent customer service, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills
Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

Describe a time when you anticipated potential problems that were significant to your unit and developed preventive measures. What was the potential impact to your unit and what was the outcome?
