RoleUnder direct supervision performs health related work of routine difficulty by assisting the health care provider in the clinic setting.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.Major Duties, Responsibilities- Optimizes clinic workflow including escorting patients to exam room, carrying out patient history interviews, taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, providing patient information/instructions, and exiting patients.
- Conveys basic clinical information to patients on behalf of the provider.
- Organizes and maintains clinic exam rooms and workspace including restocking supplies in patient rooms, maintaining inventory and sterilizing instruments.
- Performs basic in-house laboratory tests including finger stick glucose or hemoglobin, dip-stick urinalysis, and rapid test for strep infections.
- Administers medication and treatment, (excluding injections), to clients, as directed by the provider.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: No experience necessary.
Other Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Basic Life Support for the Health Care Professionals to be obtained within three (3) months of hire.

- Travel between all clinic locations to provide staffing coverage when needed.
- Establish and maintain acceptable working relationships with co-workers, clients, the public and other agencies.
- Respond to community emergencies with a public health consequence according to the Community Health Service's Emergency Response Plan.
Work Environment:The work involves potential exposure to infections, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens. Clinical staff are required to use appropriate protective equipment. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
Physical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
