    California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is a preeminent center of intellectual and cultural activity in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Opened in 1965 and set at the foothills of the beautiful San Bernardino mountains, the university serves approximately 19,000 students.     JOB SUMMARY

    The Doctorate in Educational Leadership Program seeks dynamic, equity-centered educators to serve as part-time Adjunct Lecturers. Successful candidates will deliver doctoral-level instruction aligned with program standards and provide mentoring and coaching to students. Adjuncts will collaborate with university and community partners to support student success and continuous program improvement.

    TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

    • Teach assigned doctoral-level courses aligned with program standards
    • Provide academic guidance to program candidates
    • Support candidates in completing required program tasks and assessments
    • Assess and provide actionable feedback on student assignments
    • Collaborate with program faculty and community partners
    • Participate in program events, candidate orientations, and required trainings
    • Use Canvas LMS and other technologies to support hybrid or online instruction
    • Uphold the mission and vision of the program
    • Model culturally responsive and equity-centered educational practices

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Have earned a relevant Doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in related fields specific to the program or in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution of higher education.
    • Experienced practitioner in theory, research, policy, or practice related to P-12 or community college / higher educational leadership.

    • Have expertise relevant to the program.
    • Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    • Availability for weekend instruction (Friday evening and Saturday day)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience teaching in a related graduate or doctoral education program
    • Familiarity with Canvas or similar learning management systems and and other technologies to support hybrid or online instruction
    • Experience mentoring educators

    Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS

    The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

    Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with CSUSB.     About The Doctor of Education Degree Program

    The Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership is a program framed around questions of equity, ethics, and social justice to bring about solutions to complex problems of practice. The program is designed to prepare educational leaders with the knowledge base and skills to lead reform efforts that result in improved student outcomes and educational transformation, particularly for our Inland Empire region.

    Lecturer A (Range 2) - $5,507 - $6,677

    Lecturer B (Range 3) - $6,221 - $13,224

    Lecturer C (Range 4) - $6,825 - $14,523

    Lecturer D (Range 5) - $8,593 - $15,211
