    Fresno State Athletic Corporation

    Compensation and Benefits

    Hiring Salary: $4,166.67/month
    • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), non-exempt position

    For temporary positions, select appropriate option below:
    • This part-time/full-time (equivalent to X hours per week) position is temporary and expected to end on or before DATE. Extension of this assignment is contingent upon sufficient additional funding and satisfactory performance.

    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Director of Sports Nutrition or as assigned, the Olympic Sports Dietitian will work closely with the Sports Medicine Staff and Strength and Conditioning Staff in supporting the athletic and nutritional goals of coaches and student-athletes. Within this collaborative sports performance group, they will work to advance the overall objective of meeting the sports performance goals of all of the departments’ intercollegiate athletic teams.

    • Knowledge of NCAA and institution rules as is relates to position
    • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, customer service oriented.
    • Ability to:
      • React effectively and quickly to crises and maintain a professional demeanor
      • Work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude in stressful situations
      • To work with minimal supervision
      • Work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds
      • Establish and maintain collegial and cooperative working relationships with on and off campus individuals and offices, including coaches, staff, and administration
      • Apply good judgment, discretion and initiative in performing duties
      • Prioritize assignments with conflicting deadlines
      • Support the equity and diversity commitments of the department
      • Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
    • RD or RD Eligible with credential obtained within 6 months of hire
    • Minimum of six (6) months experience working within a collegiate athletics setting

This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
