    The Position

    Ambulatory Care Provider-Exempt

    $220,619.04 - $250,188.12 Annually

    Contra Costa Health is a comprehensive, integrated healthcare system that includes a hospital, 11 ambulatory (primary and specialty care) clinics, Contra Costa Health Plan, Public Health, Behavioral Health, and Detention Health, among other divisions. Detention Health is an integral part of Contra Costa Health, playing a vital role in supporting the overall health and well-being of our community.

    We are seeking dedicated physicians to join our team in Detention Health. We have four adult and juvenile County jail facilities with a multidisciplinary team. The physicians will work closely with the Medical Director and oversee the care and treatment performed by the Family Nurse Practitioners. Experience in Pain Management, Palliative Care, Addiction Medicine, Geriatrics, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Hospital Medicine is highly desirable.

    We offer:
    • Comprehensive compensation package including 3.5 weeks of vacation which increases to 6 weeks after 6 years, 1 week of paid CME, 11 paid holidays annually, 12 paid sick days annually, pension with additional 457B contribution amount.
    • 40-hour work week; Flexible scheduling with 8 and 10-hour shifts available
    • Weekend shift rotations are available
    • Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinic Hours plus optional Call opportunities; telehealth
    • Both part-time and full-time applicants will be considered

    Physician Qualifications:
    • Medical Degree from an accredited university
    • California State License
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible
    • Commitment to serving the underserved populations of Contra Costa County
