    Position Summary

    Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Housing Business Operations, the incumbent has responsibility for overseeing the day-to day housing license agreement administration program, including, but not limited to, application processes, cancellations, revocations, appeals, and prorations for the on-campus housing program.

    FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime)

    Anticipated Hiring Range: $5,537 per month - $6,019 per month, commensurate with the candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,537 per month - $10,014 per month

    Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Hours and days will vary including evenings and weekends. Position works on-site.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

    Required Qualifications

    Experience working with a University Housing program. Excellent interpersonal and written communication and administrative skills. Ability to understand problems from a broad interactive perspective and discern applicable principles to develop strategies to address needs. Effectively work with public and private entities. Handle sensitive situations. Ability to consult with appropriate groups to plan processes and/or resolve issues. Experience using a housing management system (i.e. StarRez) to manage occupancy, billing, and reporting. Experience working with University Admissions, disability services, international programs, and/or intercollegiate athletics to address specific student needs and issues. Experience supervising students (i.e. Student Assistants, Grad Assistants) and leading student staff and/or professional staff trainings. Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment with diverse colleagues and constituents including faculty, students, staff, and members of the community.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience working specifically with housing operations within a University Housing program. Experience setting up installment payment plans, establishing deferments, collecting payments, and utilizing CMS Financial. Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of public and business administration and operational management, as well as applicable laws and regulations specific to Housing such as Title V (California Code of Regulations Article 5) and Landlord and Tenant Laws. Working knowledge of Residential Education programs and LLC/theme communities. Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns.
