    The Job

    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Nursing Program Coordinator who will oversee patient care, education and follow through for a specific specialty program; monitor staff and provider compliance with policy, regulatory requirements and state of the art practice in area of specialty; conduct patient assessments and initiate required testing, treatment or medication management and may perform direct patient care. The Nursing Program Coordinator will also function as liaison between services, patients and families and interact with external agencies, providers and regulatory authorities.

    This recruitment is for ARMC's Cancer Care Center . Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Completion of technical site visit assessment reviews and deficiency resolution reviews to evaluate facility compliance with cancer-related accreditation program standards. Provides thorough comments and ratings on Accreditation Reports, disseminates information to programs, and follows up on deficiency resolution.
    • Provides customer service to internal and external constituents by answering questions and educational insight via multiple mechanisms.
    • Provides support for developing education and training for accredited programs and site reviewer teams. Attends educational programs to present and provide information via exhibits as needed.

    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.     CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Schedule: The current vacancy is for Day Shift, Monday through Friday.

    Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.

    Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must possess all of the following:

    License:
    Must possess and maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

    Certification: Must possess and maintain a Healthcare Provider level Basis Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have experience working in Ambulatory Services or possessing quality improvement experience in an acute care setting.
