DESCRIPTION THE DEPARTMENT: The Alameda County Probation Department is an essential element of the County’s system of public protection and human services. The Department’s role is to reduce the impact of crime in the community by providing accurate, comprehensive and timely information and recommendations to the Courts, providing community-based sanctions and treatment for offenders, and working cooperatively with law enforcement agencies and community organizations with similar objectives. The Department provides a wide range of mandated and discretionary investigative, advisory, and supervisory services to adult and juvenile probationers pursuant to State law and the County Charter. THE POSITION: Under direction, to provide professional-level financial services in areas of budget development and processing, contract negotiation and administration, financial planning and monitoring, financial accounting and reporting, and grants management to County departments and agencies; to conduct a variety of studies and inquiries and perform financial analytic and administrative work; and to do related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Financial Services Specialist I/II is a flexibly-staffed class series with the work normally performed at the II level, but with initial selection possible at the I or entry level. Incumbents hired at the I level will be expected to gain experience and demonstrate proficiency which qualifies them to promote to the II level after the equivalent of two years full time service. ABOUT THE POSITION Clark County is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Family Services I/II position. This position performs a variety of professional case work duties for various Clark County Departments. Performs various assessments, implements treatment and behavioral intervention techniques for clients that have been identified with behavioral, cognitive and health impairments. The Position The current vacancies are in Ukiah and Fort Bragg, CA. The list developed from this recruitment will be used for a limited period to fill open and promotional, regular full-time, and part-time positions throughout the County, should they occur. Perform collateral services by providing significant support with the intent of improving or maintaining the mental health status of the beneficiary Perform assessment evaluation, including clinical analysis of historical and current status of client's mental, emotional and behavioral disorder; diagnosis; and the use of testing procedures. Participate in case conferencing with multiple service providers for the purpose of developing and approving client plans and monitoring client's progress. Perform or assist in case management functions by visiting and counseling with clients and their families, in order to determine what services are needed, and provide services or assistance and/or making appropriate referrals. This may include transporting or arranging transportation for clients. Recommend therapy services; prepare progress notes, charts and closing and/or transfer summaries for clients to assist in psychiatric and psychological evaluations.
