Position Description With operational oversight by a Program Manager, the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner provides medical oversight to a team of Mobile Registered Nurses and Behavioral Health Crisis Responders and works in a non-emergency operational capacity as part of a crisis response team aimed at providing appropriate and therapeutic services to those experiencing behavioral health crisis. This position will focus on establishing operating protocols and best practices for crisis unit responders regarding behavioral and mental health crises, the identification and treatment/management of underlying medical conditions, and the prevention or further exacerbation of chronic illnesses. The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner coordinates with crisis unit responders as the base station prescriber and authorizer of medication and dosing for behavioral, mental, or non-emergency medical health medications and develops plans of care in conjunction with other practitioners involved in the patient’s care. This position works extensively with the Program Manager to establish policies and procedures and may also be utilized in additional ways to facilitate program scope expansion. Duties: Lead a team of mobile crisis unit responders to provide immediate assistance to individuals experiencing behavioral or mental health crisis.
