The Construction Plans Examiner ensures that compliance with the City’s adopted codes, regulations and ordinances; direct and advise the construction community and other department staff on building code requirements; serve as back up to Building Official. Summary Maintains and repairs storm water drainage structures in the City of Lancaster by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Acts as Crew Leader in Absence of Heavy Equipment Operator II. Use of heavy equipment to clean drainage pipes, ditches, channels, easements, flumes, under bridges, and creeks within the boundary of the roadway and right-of-ways. Trims trees, bushes, and other vegetation, to ensure proper drainage inside City owned right-of-ways as well as other drainage structures. Work with Streets department to assist with the completion of assignments and special projects including but not limited to repairing roads with asphalt and concrete work, hauling excavated dirt, rock, concrete, and debris, etc. Assists in establishing traffic control to ensure safety of site.
