The Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance Authority – ACWA JPIA for short – is a partnership of water agencies dedicated to avoiding the high cost of commercial insurance. Formed in 1979, JPIA is not an insurance agency or carrier. It is a risk-sharing pool for property, liability, workers’ compensation and employee benefits, which allows for more rate stability, broader coverage and expanded benefits and services than private insurance. Our offerings are unique to the water industry; member agencies themselves – their directors and managers – have selected and refined the various programs. Only agencies that demonstrate a commitment to effective risk management programs are accepted in to JPIA.
Job Description
ACWA JPIA is an award-winning risk pool for California public water agencies, and we are excited to announce two openings for the position of Member Services Representative II. The candidates will work under the general supervision of the Director of Pooled Programs and will join a dynamic team of four other employees. These positions are open due to an upcoming retirement on the team and a new position being added due to membership growth.
First and foremost, the job responsibilities are to provide outstanding customer service to our members by assisting them in selecting and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage; explaining and answering questions regarding coverage programs; assisting members in application for participation in coverage programs; preparing insurance coverage comparisons; and establishing and maintaining JPIA insurance program and member files. The ideal candidates are seasoned insurance professionals with experience in underwriting and member engagement, particularly within the public sector or a risk pooling organization.
The salary range for the position is $90,403 - $135,604.To determine approximate total compensation, add an additional 38% to the salary. This more accurately represents the total benefits received as an employee.

This position is located in Roseville, CA, and is full time, 40 hours per week, with hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, though there is flexibility. Remote work up to two days per week.
