Job Description
Located within California's Southern Coast about 35 miles north of San Diego along the 78 Corridor in North County, the City of Oceanside is a spectacular seaside town with a friendly atmosphere. With a population of around 183,095, Oceanside is the third-largest city in North San Diego County and is a quintessential beach community with palm-lined streets, white sandy beaches, and the west coast’s longest wooden pier. Under general supervision of the Assistant City Manager, the Water Utilities Director manages the operations and maintenance of the Water Utilities Department. The Water Utilities Director oversees a comprehensive program that ensures water and wastewater service to the City as well as supervises the development and implementation of the capital improvement program and operating budgets. The City of Oceanside is seeking a charismatic, forward-thinking professional to serve as the new Water Utilities Director. The City is looking for a team-oriented individual with knowledge of technical and operating principles, practices, and techniques of water and wastewater systems.
The monthly salary range for the Water Utilities Director position is $14,870 to $20,822. Placement within this range is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
